Who we are
Rise & Capy is made by Randy Ventures. Questions about this policy can be sent to randyventures06@gmail.com.
What stays on your device
Rise & Capy has no account system and no backend server. The following is stored only in your iPhone's local app storage, using Apple's standard on-device mechanisms:
- Onboarding answers. Your morning intention, wake time, chosen days, wake-up style, and capybara personality.
- Alarms. Alarm times, repeat days, labels, chosen sound, snooze settings, personality, and wake-up mission for each alarm you create.
- Wake history and streak. A simple count of mornings you've woken up with Capy.
- Settings. Your default alarm preferences and app settings.
- Motion data for the "shake off the fog" mission. Read on-device using Apple's Core Motion framework to detect a shake gesture. It is never stored or transmitted anywhere.
Deleting the app deletes all of this data. None of it is ever uploaded to us or to any third party.
What leaves your device
The only information that leaves your iPhone is what's required to process your one-time purchase:
- Purchases (RevenueCat). When you buy Capy Pro (the Rise & Capy full unlock), Apple processes the payment and RevenueCat, our purchase-management provider, receives purchase receipts, transaction identifiers, and an anonymous app-generated user ID so the app can verify your entitlement. We never see your payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Apple. The App Store handles billing and standard app diagnostics per your iOS settings. Apple's AlarmKit framework schedules your alarms directly with iOS — this happens on-device and is not something we or RevenueCat can see.
- Support email. If you email us for support, we handle whatever you choose to include in that message — such as your email address, device model, and description of the issue — only to respond to your request.
Rise & Capy does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or any tracking of your activity in the app.
How we use information
- To schedule and present your alarms through Apple's AlarmKit.
- To remember your preferences, alarms, and streak between app launches.
- To verify your one-time Capy Pro purchase through RevenueCat so Pro features stay unlocked.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
Storage and sharing
We do not run a server, do not maintain a user database, and do not sell your information — there is nothing to sell, because we never receive it in the first place. The only information that leaves your device is described above, and it is shared only with Apple and RevenueCat as necessary to process your purchase.
Your choices
- You can manage or request a refund for your purchase through your Apple ID purchase history, under Apple's standard App Store policies.
- You can restore your purchase from Settings inside the app if you reinstall or switch devices.
- You can control motion access for the shake mission through iOS Settings, if your device prompts for it.
- Deleting the app permanently removes all local data — alarms, preferences, and streak. There is no server copy to delete, because none exists.
Children
Rise & Capy is designed for teenagers and young adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and given the app's local-only design, we do not collect personal information from any user in the first place.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and revise the date at the top of this page.
