Is Rise & Capy a subscription?
No. Rise & Capy is free to start, and Capy Pro is a single $9.99 purchase that lasts for life. There's no free trial that quietly converts, no weekly or annual plan, and no recurring charge of any kind.
What's free, and what does Pro add?
Free: one real alarm with every capybara personality, voice, and sound, plus the Tap mission and your morning streak. Capy Pro ($9.99, once) adds unlimited alarms and the pattern, shake, and question missions, plus future Pro features. Your free alarm never stops working, even if you never upgrade.
I bought Rise & Capy before it was free to start. Do I need to buy Pro?
No. Your original purchase is Capy Pro. You already have unlimited alarms and every mission. If it ever looks locked, tap Restore Purchases in Settings.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled entirely by Apple under standard App Store policy, since Apple processes the purchase. You can request one from your Apple ID purchase history.
I reinstalled the app (or got a new iPhone) — do I have to pay again?
No. Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple Account you originally purchased with.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There's no sign-up, no login, and no server. Rise & Capy stores your alarms, preferences, and streak locally on your iPhone. See the full Privacy Policy for details.
Does Rise & Capy track me or show ads?
No analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no tracking. The only outside service involved is RevenueCat, which verifies your purchase — it never sees your alarms, preferences, or streak.
Will it actually wake me up if my phone is on Silent?
Yes. Rise & Capy schedules alarms through Apple's AlarmKit — the same system that powers the built-in Clock app — so alarms sound through Silent mode and most Focus modes.
What if my alarm doesn't go off?
We recommend testing your alarm setup once on your own device before relying on it for something important. Rise & Capy can't guarantee an alarm will sound if your phone is powered off, out of battery, or in a state outside iOS's control — see the Terms of Use for the full disclaimer.
What are the four capybara personalities?
Sleepy, Sunny, Chill, and Motivated Capy. Each one has its own badge, its own default mood, and its own way of talking to you — from a calm "Mmm... good morning" to an enthusiastic "RISE AND SHINE!"
What are wake-up missions?
An optional extra step before you can dismiss an alarm: tap the sleepy capybara a few times, repeat a short pattern, answer a simple question, or shake off the morning fog. They're there to make sure you're actually awake, not just tapping "stop" in your sleep.
Can I turn missions off?
Yes. Each alarm's wake-up mission is optional and configurable — set it to "None" if you'd rather just tap to dismiss.
What do I need to run Rise & Capy?
An iPhone running iOS 26 or later. Rise & Capy is built specifically for iPhone; there is no iPad-optimized layout or Android version at this time.
Does it work with Apple Watch?
Not yet. A Watch companion may come in a future update, but the current version is iPhone-only.
