Information Gulp handles
- Hydration settings such as your daily goal, unlock interval, active hours, reminder preferences, and appearance preference.
- Hydration activity such as drink timestamps, daily counts, streaks, and unlock-window status.
- Screen Time selections you choose through Apple's Family Controls picker, including selected apps, app categories, and web domains.
- Notification authorization and reminder scheduling state used to send hydration and relock reminders.
- Purchase and entitlement status for subscriptions processed by Apple.
- Optional HealthKit water-intake data if you grant Apple Health permission.
How information is used
- To track hydration progress and display your current goal, streak, and history.
- To apply, pause, unlock, and relock selected app gates using Apple's Screen Time frameworks.
- To show Home Screen and Lock Screen widget status.
- To schedule local notifications you enable.
- To unlock Pro features after Apple confirms an active subscription.
- To read or write water-intake samples in Apple Health only when you grant HealthKit permission.
Storage and sharing
Gulp is designed to keep hydration and Screen Time data on your device. App selections are handled through Apple's Family Controls APIs and stored locally so the app and its extensions can apply the gates you choose. Gulp does not sell your personal information.
- Apple processes purchases, subscription management, and entitlement information through the App Store.
- Apple Health handles HealthKit permissions and Health data storage on your device and iCloud account if you use iCloud Health.
- Apple Screen Time frameworks handle app and category selection, shielding, and device activity behavior.
HealthKit
Gulp may request permission to read and write water-intake data in Apple Health for Pro features. Health data is used only to support hydration tracking inside Gulp. Gulp does not use HealthKit data for advertising or sell HealthKit data.
Screen Time and Family Controls
Gulp uses Apple's Family Controls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings frameworks so you can select apps, categories, and web domains to gate as part of your hydration habit. These selections are controlled by you and are used to apply local device restrictions.
Notifications and widgets
If you enable notifications, Gulp schedules local reminders related to hydration and relock timing. Widgets display local hydration and gate status from the app's shared on-device storage.
Your choices
- You can change hydration goals, reminders, selected apps, appearance, and Pro settings in the app.
- You can revoke Screen Time authorization in iOS Settings.
- You can revoke notification permission in iOS Settings.
- You can manage HealthKit permissions in the Health app or iOS Settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
Children
Gulp is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and revise the date at the top of this page.
