Privacy Policy

OwnTake helps you study the structure of short-form videos and make original remixes with footage you own or are allowed to use. This initial policy is a placeholder for the public beta and will be updated after final legal review.

Information OwnTake processes

• Account and library data. OwnTake uses an app account identifier, preferences, saved formats, and project metadata to sync your library and provide the service.
• Video and audio files. Reference videos and your own footage are processed only when you choose them and confirm that you own them or have permission to use them. Working copies may be uploaded temporarily to provide analysis and remix generation.
• Purchase information. Apple processes purchases. RevenueCat helps validate subscription status and restore access using an app-specific customer identifier. OwnTake does not receive your payment card information.
• Service metadata. The service may retain job status, media dimensions, duration, model and prompt versions, token counts, timing, usage reservations, and error metadata. Logs are designed not to contain video, audio, transcripts, signed URLs, or access tokens.

How media is handled

OwnTake analyzes derived structure rather than copying a source creator's footage, script, branding, or audio. Reference working files are deleted after processing and are subject to a one-day storage backstop. Completed server renders are temporary and expire after the app downloads a local copy, with a seven-day storage backstop. Your local library and downloaded remixes remain on your device until you remove them.

Service providers

OwnTake uses Apple and StoreKit for platform services and purchases, RevenueCat for subscription management, Render and PostgreSQL for hosted service operations, Cloudflare R2 for private temporary media storage, and Google's Gemini API for paid AI analysis and remix planning. These providers process information under their own applicable terms.

What OwnTake does not do

OwnTake does not download or scrape videos from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or other third-party platforms. Shared links are not treated as permission to copy or analyze third-party media.

Your choices

• You choose which files to import and submit.
• You can manage subscriptions through your Apple account settings.
• You can request account or data deletion by contacting support.
