I Shipped CapShare: One QR Code for Every Graduation Memory - Hero Image

I shipped something new this week: CapShare.

The idea is simple:

One QR code for everyone’s graduation photos and videos.

If you’ve been to a graduation (or any big family event), you know the problem. Everyone captures different moments, and then it all gets scattered across text threads, AirDrop attempts, and “I’ll send it later” promises that never really land.

CapShare is my attempt to make that flow effortless.

Here’s how it works:

  • Create an event
  • Generate a QR code
  • Family and friends scan it and upload straight from their phones
  • A shared gallery fills up in real time

No accounts. No complicated setup. Just scan → upload → relive it.

I launched on 5/27. So far it’s been quiet: about ~200 visits and no signups yet. Honestly, I’m fine with that.

This is one of those products where the real test is the next few weekends. Graduations are happening. People are already taking the photos. If CapShare makes it easier to collect the moments in one place, it’ll earn its keep. If not, I’ll learn fast and iterate.

If you’re heading into graduation season and want to try it, it’s live here:

I’ll post updates once I see how it performs in the wild.
