A Good Week at Work
Last week was a good one.
Work felt productive in the right way — not just busy, not just reactive, but actually moving things forward.
Those weeks matter. It’s easy to get buried in meetings, pings, and random fires and come out the other side feeling like you touched a hundred things without really improving anything. This wasn’t that.
It felt like a real week of progress.
Making Progress on Projects
A big part of that was just seeing projects move.
There are always a lot of things in motion, but lately it feels like some of the effort is starting to stack in a good way. Ideas are getting clearer. Work is getting done. Things that were previously stuck are moving again.
That’s always a better feeling than just “surviving the week.”
Progress changes your energy. It makes the work feel worth it.
Grayson and Birthday Party Season
Outside of work, Grayson had a few birthday parties, which made for a fun stretch too.
That kid-social-calendar life is real.
It’s busy, a little chaotic, and somehow still really fun. Watching the kids enjoy themselves, run around, celebrate with friends, and just be fully in that moment is one of those things that makes the week feel fuller in a good way.
Sometimes the schedule gets packed, but not all busy is bad busy.
This was the good kind.
Good Time with Friends
I also got to spend some good time with friends.
And honestly, that’s something I appreciate more the older I get.
Life gets full fast — work, family, responsibilities, everything. So when you get a chance to relax a little, laugh, talk, and just enjoy being around people you care about, it matters.
That kind of time resets you more than you realize.
The Theme Right Now
If there’s a theme for this stretch, it’s probably this:
steady progress and good people make for a pretty good life.
A strong week at work. Real project movement. Kids having fun. Time with friends.
Nothing dramatic. Nothing flashy.
Just a solid week, and I’m thankful for that.
